Is PaperQuote Really Free?
All current versions of the PaperQuote software are free for end users.
You can even share it with your friends. Most of the daily wallpaper and
quote channels for PaperQuote are also free.
How can I get PQ for the
Mac?
We are not developing software for the Mac platform at this time. However,
if you are a Mac developer and would like to help bring PaperQuote™
to Mac users, please contact us.
How can I get PQ for Linux?
We are not developing software for Linux at this time. If you are a Linux
developer and would like to bring PaperQuote™ to a Linux GUI, please
contact us.
Where Was that Picture Taken?
Unfortunately, the PaperQuote Team doesn't always know where each picture
was taken, but you can always write to us and ask. We have plans to start
a channel about locations around the world.
Does PQ Slow Down My Computer?
A wallpaper background uses memory, but the change isn't noticeable on
most modern computers. The PaperQuote '01 software, when residing in your
system tray, was designed to use relatively few system resources and to
not poll your system in a way that would slow it down. If you have major
concerns about optimizing your computer, you can go to the Automation
tab of the PaperQuote Options dialog and select "Run PaperQuote from
desktop icon."
